FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What do acoustic panels actually do?
Acoustic panels control how sound behaves inside your room. Every wall, floor and ceiling reflects sound, and those reflections blur dialogue, smear music and cause harshness at high volume. Panels absorb or diffuse these reflections so what reaches your ears is closer to what the speakers actually produced.
Will acoustic panels soundproof my room?
No — and anyone who tells you otherwise is misleading you. Acoustic treatment improves sound quality inside the room. Soundproofing (stopping sound from entering or leaving) is a construction problem involving mass and isolation, and it cannot be achieved with panels of any brand.
Why does panel thickness matter so much?
Most real room problems occur below 1,000Hz. A 1" or 2" panel absorbs mainly high frequencies, which makes a room sound dull while the actual problems remain. That is why our absorbers start at 75–80mm and our bass traps are 250mm deep — thickness is what reaches the frequencies that matter.
How many panels does my room need?
Every room is different — size, shape, surfaces and seating all change the answer. We don't guess: we calculate your room's requirement, including an RT60 prediction against professional targets, before recommending anything. Share your room dimensions on WhatsApp (+91 63847 54949) and we will work it out — the consultation is free.
Where should absorber panels be placed?
Start at the first reflection points — the spots on the side walls and ceiling where sound bounces once between the speakers and your ears. In rooms with more than one row of seating, these points are not the same for every seat. The diagram below shows a real GreatSound room design: a Curve 75 ceiling panel positioned to cover the reflection point for both the front sofa row and the rear recliner row, at two different angles. Placing a panel by eye, or centering it on just one row, misses the seat it wasn't calculated for. This calculation is part of the design support we provide with every project

Can I use too many diffusers?
Diffusers belong in the rear half of the room, and more is not better — over-diffusing a room can make it sound unnatural. Diffusion is a finishing tool. We specify how much your room needs as part of the design, so you buy the right amount, not the maximum amount.
Do I really need bass traps?
If your room has boomy, uneven or one-note bass, yes. Low frequencies accumulate in corners, and no flat wall panel can absorb them. Corner- placed bass traps like our 250mm series absorb from 80Hz and are usually the single biggest upgrade an untreated room can receive.
What is the difference between an absorber and a diffuser?
An absorber converts sound energy into heat, reducing reflections. A diffuser scatters reflections in many directions, keeping the room lively without echo. Good rooms use both: absorption in the front half of the room, diffusion in the rear half.
Do you offer complete room packages?
Yes — four levels. Starter focuses on dialogue clarity. Starter Plus adds bass traps for low-frequency control. Premium adds diffusion for a spacious, natural sound. Reference is a complete engineered room design — broadband coverage designed to reach the right reverberation time (RT60) for your room, with calculated placements, elevation drawings.
How do you support integrators and dealer partners?
Two ways that matter. First, no carpentry: our panels are pre-engineered and adhesive-mounted, so your own team installs them — no managing carpenters on site, no rework, and you can run several projects in parallel instead of being stuck on one. Second, complete design support: we provide the treatment plan, RT60 prediction, panel schedule and scaled wall drawings for the actual room. You just install. Reach us through the Partner With Us page
Do the panels come with mounting hardware?
Panels mount with adhesive (such as HeatX or acrylic glue), and mounting hardware is not included. Each product page lists the mounting method, and we provide placement guidance with every order.
Can panels be customized?
Yes. Color, size and design customization is available on most products — contact us on WhatsApp with your requirement before ordering.
Do you ship across India, and what is the return policy?
Yes, we ship across India with free shipping, and eligible products carry a 15-day return policy. Damage in transit must be reported within 2 days of delivery with photos.
Is acoustic treatment enough, or do I also need calibration?
Treatment fixes what the room does to sound; calibration tunes the system to the treated room. For high-end home cinemas and reference hi-fi systems, professional calibration is what unlocks the performance the equipment was designed for. Our HAA Level 3 certified calibration measures the room with REW and proves the result — before and after.
